Move On with AJ App Reviews

I love all of Andrew Johnsons apps, find them very relaxing and also EXTREMELY useful. This one seemed to have an extra layer of delight in it caused by the metaphoric narrative quality. Wish hed do more of these. My unconscious mind loves them!

Ive been listening to this recording everyday for the last seven days, and already Im experiencing life altering positive change. Thank you Andrew. Thank you so much.

I love Andrews apps normally, my Fav being the deep sleep one but for some reason I didnt like this one very much. It did not really make me feel like I was moving on and I didnt like the story narration. Ill give it a few more listens but the deep sleep and positivity ones are much better!

This helped me get through a bad divorce much quicker than I ever thought possible. All of Andrews recordings help me fall asleep, but I love this one on so many levels.

There should be a warning for folks in mainline religions like Judaism, Christianity & Islam who believe in one GOD that this is heavily pagan & not at all the affirmation type suggestions of other apps by these same folks. The entire thing is about "river spirits" which is not professed by any of the faith groups above & may even be considered demonic rather than a simple metaphor. Then, rather than telling you anything positive, open-ended questions are asked instead, putting pressure on the listener to come up with answers rather than simply comforting or instilling confidence. A clunker all the way around. Id get my $4 back if I could.

All I can say for now is that its beautiful. But whether it works or not is something Ill have to report after a few weeks of using it. The app doesnt provide the typical positive thoughts weve become familiar with in the other apps. Rather, it persuades you look into yourself and your past and ponder. It has a spiritual aspect to it. The main point of it is psychological comfort, so even if youre not spiritual, I dont see whats the harm if you play along anyway, but if that doesnt work for you, maybe the app isnt for you.

I go very deep within when listening to this app. My mind is able to expand to see solutions to my problems, as I am made aware that I have choices to make my life different or as I want it to be. I like the story therapy used in this app. It ignites my imagination to initiate needed change in my thinking as well.

I have all of AJs apps, which I love, but I will not listen to this one again. Rather than uplifting my spirit, I found it to be boring and depressing. Where are the motivational messages advertised? It is one long mystical-like story/lecture about river spirits. I know it is supposed to impart a deeper meaning, but I dont want to be transported into my past and be reminded of the sad/bad/foolish choices or events of my life. Nor do I want to see way into my future, which only shows old age, for me. I have learned to live in the here and now, and at the same time, know the choices I make now will affect my future. This may help some people, but it is not what I was expecting. Sorry AJ. I love most of your other apps...they are the best, but I cant recommend this one.

One other review had it right: this app is ruined by being heavily pagan and totally incompatible with my beliefs, and probably against the first commandment. Besides this complaint, it also leaves too much work to the listener, asking too many hard-to-answer, open-ended questions in such a small allotment of time. It made me feel aggravated and anxious. Ill be deleting this now!

I own almost all of Andrew Johnsons apps and love them all. This one was the only one I wasnt sure about, mainly because of the low star rating. But when I read the reviews I noticed people complaining because of a pagan tone to it. Being a Pagan, this was a selling factor and Im glad I bought it.

I love Andrew Johnsons apps... I can hardly fall asleep without his voice anymore. I was very excited to see this topic, as I tend to have some "letting go" issues. However, this app is VERY different from the rest. I was looking for a " you can do it" type pep talk or something similar to the others, but this is just BIZARRE. Its a very confusing story he tells about two rivers...Im still not exactly sure what its about exactly. I dont understand the other posters being offended by "pagan" overtones, I found nothing religious about it, but he does talk about spirits talking to each other. Again, not offensive. Just confusing. Im so disappointed. I actually feel BAD after I listen to it. Not sure if its the story itself or my disappointment in the app. Skip this one, hd has so many great ones. Sounds like he was trying something new. Its not for me, thats for sure. My favorites are the Healing and the Stress Free. They are soothing, calming, and uplifting. This one is a weird kind creepy story and it depressed me :(. Sorry, its my honest opinion! Im kinda scared to try another one, what if they are all weird scary stories now?

I have all of of AJs apps, and love them all. He is relaxing, and comforting. That said, this one was anything but- it told a somewhat creepy, spiritistic, depressing, pagan story about rivers and spirits. I am usually asleep soon after the introduction.... And am sleeping while this part is playing; however, after this spiritistic one, I am definitely more cautious about what gets told to my brain while Im asleep! I will listen to the apps all the way through before using at bedtime! I do not recommend this app, will never listen to it again myself & have deleted it. A BIG let down!

I have a dozen of these apps and have found each one great! That being said, this app is very different but its not bad. Yes its more on a spiritual note but if your open minded it is very benificial and it does address some stressful areas of ones life. I always fell asleep in the begging so I finally made it a point to listen to the second part. One unique thing about this app is you control more parts of it (for example you visualize in your own life what happend) as opposed to just listening to or being told what to think. I loved it!

I have been to several professional hypnotherapist. Andrews apps are always great. We are all energy and have spirits. I believe the negative reviews are from those with closed minds and who do not recognize nature as a source of energy or having a spirit. My house has a spirit as do my pets and the mountains. Excellent app!

Just like the rest. Just ignore those negative reviews complaining about pagan undertones. There is no such thing in this app. I never write reviews but I was so offended by those comments that I had to let the truth come out. I have 12 of his apps and each one is excellent. His are the best meditation apps I have found! Keep em coming Andrew!

Ive been getting depressed over a break-up. I put this on before I go to bed and fall asleep before the count down even ends. Im not sure what people are saying about the "depressing theme" in this one but I felt better after the first day and dont even know how I got over her but I did in just a couple days.

Why is this app broken? Theres no way its 21,881 mins long. It glitches after the induction and never switches to the main part. I want to hear the creepy story about river spirits too! Will up from 1 star after I get to be in the pagan demon story club when I hear the actual thing. Update!

Anyone who says this app is pagan & or negative is either a competitor of AJ or an uneducated moron... Or both. The rivers are metaphors for you & your life. In order to let go of the past or negative behaviors one must understand them 1st and the story of the rivers explains that. Its very helpful & very positive. Im very sensitive to negativity & this is in no way negative. I have almost all of his other apps. This is a very good one and Im glad its different. I dont want to pay for the same thing 9 times!! His other apps are all so similar. I started to feel I was paying for the same stuff. Its not religious at all & Im no pagan. Anyone who worries they will break a commandment for listening to this has bigger problems!
